Bronx residents finally have an ice skating of their own.
Ice Skating fans can now head over to the Bronx and glide through the brand new Van Cortlandt Park Ice Skating Rink.
City officials unveiled the new rink Monday.
"Not only Bronxites will be here but hopefully we can get many other New Yorkers and people from beyond our borders to come and have a good time right here," Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz said.
Visitors will be able to rent skates, lockers, and even take staking lessons.
Bronx Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz added it's something local residents have been waiting for.
"It was only a few months ago that some of the young people came to a community board meeting and talked about how important it was for them to have an ice skating rink in their neighborhood rather than to have to go to Yonkers."
