For this FUV Live concert with Manchester Orchestra's Andy Hull and Robert McDowell, our Marquee Members joined us downtown at New York's The Sheen Center.

Manchester Orchestra's most recent album, The Valley of Vision, is a cathartic collection of songs of acceptance, gratitude, and hope. According to the band, the concept was partly inspired by a 1975 book of old Puritan prayers that Hull's mom had given to him.

“I realized it should be our title too," explained Hull, "because to me, it meant you can’t see the forest for the trees, but you’re recognizing you’re in the valley, and you can eventually get out.”

During our conversation, Hull and McDowell spoke candidly about grief and healing. They also gave a hair-raising performance that was filled with raw emotion and talent.

The crowd also screened the breathtaking companion film to the album, "The Valley of Vision," which you can watch below.
