LP: 2017

Laura Pergolizzi, who records as LP, has a vocal range that is both astounding and moving, and her songwriting range is equally impressive. Once a singer-songwriter based here in New York, LP made her way to Los Angeles, finding success as a recording artist and a hit-writer for some big names in pop, like Christina Aguilera and Rihanna.

LP’s talent for writing pop songs meant she had to work hard to record an album that defines a style of her own. Now she's back with an independently released EP called Death Valley. She visited Studio A to share a couple of these new songs and told me about her journey.
