Kishi Bashi: 2016

Kaoru Ishibashi has been putting out music for several years now under the moniker Kishi Bashi. His latest release is called Sonderlust, and it is a wonderfully eclectic collection that blends R&B, disco and rock sounds of the '70s with modern electronic and orchestral flourishes. The songs also feature thoughtful lyrical reflections on the fragility of love. It is a magical album and we are so pleased that it brings Kishi Bashi back to WFUV to talk about and play us some of the new material.
