Folk musician Ken Pomeroy had a pretty great gig this spring — not only did she open several dates with Iron & Wine, but she also made her FUV Live debut supporting him at The Sheen Center in a concert for Marquee Members, accompanied by guitarist Dakota McDaniel.

Hailing from Moore, Oklahoma, Pomeroy, who has Cherokee roots, garnered attention this year for the inclusion of her 2024 single "Cicadas," in the FX on Hulu series "Reservation Dogs." Most recently, Pomeroy appears with Wilderado and James McAlister on "Wall of Death" found on the soundtrack of the summer blockbuster "Twisters." Pomeroy says that the inclusion in "Twisters" is meaningful, "to be a part of something so big, shedding light on the devastation that has affected my home town and so many towns in my home state over the years."

Pomeroy signed to Rounder Records this summer (she released her most recent album, Christmas Lights in April, in 2021). It was crystal clear by way of her confident and cool Sheen Center performance, which included "Pareidolia" and "Cicadas," that she's a gifted songwriter with a bright future straight ahead.
