Johnnyswim - FUV Live - 2013

Amanda Sudano and Abner Ramirez make beautiful music together as the band Johnnyswim, and also as husband and wife. Before they got together, they were both pursuing careers in music. For Amanda it was a case of the apple not falling far from the tree. Her mother was the late great Disco diva Donna Summer. Abner also came from a very musical family, but no one who played professionally.

Their different musical approaches complement their songwriting to beautiful effect and they’ve now released 3 EPs together as Johnnyswim. The latest is called Heart Beats and the duo has a full-length album coming out early next year.

Johnnyswim was recently in New York City and stopped by Studio A to share some stories and music.
