JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound: Live and... Surprised
Monday at 8pm: JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound take to the stage (and to the radio) for an FUV Live show from Rockwood Music Hall.
JC Brooks is a soulman/showman double threat, so we're in for a fun time when he and his band the Uptown Sound take the Rockwood Music Hall stage for an FUV Live show. I'm still trying to wrap my head around whether the Rockwood stage can contain him. Yes, there will be much shimmying and shouting, and whatever happens, it'll all be live on FUV at 8pm on Monday night!
The band grew out of the Chicago scene and gives a nod to hometown heroes, Wilco, with a great cover of "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart." I came across this video of JCBUS performing it at Wilco's Solid Sound Festival last year, and when Jeff Tweedy hops onstage to join in... well, JC's reaction is pretty priceless. Check it out.
