The Heavy Heavy: Rockwood Music Hall 2023

When I see a great new artist live for the first time, I often find myself thinking, "FUV's Marquee Members need to see this."
Such was the case last fall at The Heavy Heavy's showcase at Mercury Lounge. The band is a total '60s and '70s throwback with Georgie Fuller and Will Turner making music that sounds like the records they grew up loving. The band eventually came to Studio A for an FUV Live session, hosted by Alisa Ali, in 2022.
Fast forward to this past May where the band brought that love to Rockwood Music Hall for FUV Marquee Members! See, sometimes dreams do come true!
I introduced the show by telling the audience of FUV faithful that they were about to watch their next favorite band. By the end of the set, that statement became fact as members screamed, hollered, and applauded with joy in the moment we had all just shared.
