It's as American as apple pie.  But it's a hamburger. And it may very well have been first served at New Haven's legendary Louis' Lunch.  Improvised to meet a customers' on-the-go sandwich request, the Hamburger (which contains neither ham nor origins in a German city) is now a fact of life.  The story may be true, or it may be a whopper.  Celebrate National Hamburger Day with hamburger-referencing songs in the American spirit!
