Gogol Bordello's Eugene Hutz, guitarist Boris Pelekh, and accordionist Pasha Newmer visited Studio A for live performance and conversation. The gypsy-punk band's new album, Seekers and Finders, is just out, featuring a Regina Spektor cameo on the title cut. The band treated us to performances of "Walking On The Burning Coal" and "Saboteur Blues" from the new album, and "My Companjera" from the earlier Trans Continental Hustle album.

Seekers and Finders is the band's first to be produced by frontman Hutz, and he has a lot of smart and lively things to share about Gogol's music, his inspirations and experience. Those adventures have included a good 20 years in downtown New York City after-hours life, and early calls for film appearances — one, a feature directed by Madonna, and another, the directorial debut of Liev Schreiber.

Hutz spun those tales and more for us in this session, including an eclectic DJ pick.
