Singer, songwriter and actor Glen Hansard died on July 29 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash in Dublin. He was 56.
Whether solo, with Marketá Irglová as The Swell Season, or in The Frames, Hansard was the essence of charisma, humanity, charm, humor and artistry.
Hansard was beloved at FUV and a frequent visitor to our studios, appearing most recently in 2025 for an FUV Live session with Irglová.
