FUV Live at Zankel Hall 2016
As you'd expect from storied Carnegie Hall, its downstairs performance space, Zankel Hall, is made for listening with its pristine acoustics. It also happens to look as beautiful as it sounds. Since 2008, Zankel's warm, inviting atmosphere has been the setting for an annual series of WFUV-curated shows, and this year's line-up has just been announced: Madeleine Peyroux (November 5) and Beth Orton (December 3).
These two longtime FUV favorites are making their FUV Live at Zankel Hall debuts in conjunction with new music. Madeleine Peyroux releases her new album, Secular Hymns, in mid-September and her fall tour includes a stop at Zankel Hall on Saturday, November 5. Beth Orton released her new album Kidsticks in the Spring and paid a visit to FUV's Studio A shortly afterward. Now she returns to New York City to share more songs from the Zankel stage on Saturday, December 3.
Tickets for both shows go onsale on Monday, August 29 at 8 a.m. through Carnegie Hall's Box Office, CarnegieCharge at 212-247-7800 or carnegiehall.org.
