Flock of Dimes: 2026
Flock of Dimes' Jenn Wasner
Jenn Wasner's long history of moving, big-hearted work with Wye Oak, Dungeonesse, and her deeply affecting solo records as Flock of Dimes made her first return to FUV's Studio A since 2021 a welcome one. Last year Wasner released a third solo album as Flock of Dimes called The Life You Save, a heartbreaking, raw and thoughtful record shaped by years of loving someone caught in cycles of addiction.
What once felt like someone else’s story ultimately revealed itself as Wasner's own tale to tell, a deeply personal perspective on the humbling realization that you can only save yourself, and that no one's struggle makes them better or worse than anyone else — just different.
As always, Wasner’s lyrics on The Life You Save are poetic, generous, and unflinchingly honest, carrying the kind of emotional clarity that feels almost therapeutic to sit with.
In this FUV Live session, that intimacy is matched by a musical calmness that’s quietly soothing, drawing in the listener and offering a moment of stillness amid the emotional heft of the songs.
Wasner was joined by her Flock of Dimes bandmates — Alan Good Parker on guitar and Jacob Ungerleider on piano — for a trio of songs: "Keep Me in the Dark," "Long After Midnight" and "Not Yet Free."
