Venezuelan-American singer and songwriter Devendra Banhart is back with his tenth album, called, Ma. As the title suggests, many of Banhart's songs on the album deal with concepts of maternity. Musically, the record features strings, woodwinds, brass, and keyboards, and Banhart sings in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and even Japanese.

During this episode of FUV Live, I'll talk with this humble musician and Renaissance man who recounts some funny and charming stories. Banhart also plays a few new songs from Ma in Studio A, treating us to stripped-down versions of “Taking a Page,” "Carolina," and "October 12."
