Deer Tick: The Bitter End 2026

With Deer Tick's new album, Coin-O-Matic, the Providence, Rhode Island quartet drew on local history with eleven songs that lean into the Ocean State's working class history, intersected with underworld lore.

The band brought along some of those gritty new singles, including "Mary Singletary," "Candy Cigarettes" and "ACI," along with older favorites from two decades of brawling, bracing rock and blues, for an exuberant 12-song set for Marquee members at The Bitter End. Deer Tick, comprised of John McCauley (vocals/guitar), Ian O’Neil (vocals/guitar), Chris Ryan (vocals/bass), and Dennis Ryan (vocals/drums), also slipped in a yearning cover of Nirvana's "All Apologies" as well as their own (not the Talking Heads') "Once in a Lifetime" from 2023's acclaimed Emotional Contracts.
