It's the Cowboy Junkies' Margo and Michael Timmins for conversation and live music in Studio A.
They are joined by longtime group associate Jeff Bird, and they offer new songs from their new album, Such Ferocious Beauty, including "Blue Skies," "Circe and Penelope," and the very personal "What I Lost," which details the siblings' long goodbye with their ailing father, struggling with dementia.
The conversation is also bright and nostalgic. They talk about the Toronto combo's early '80s days in New York and London, their music heroes and inspirations, and how they stayed true to their vision as the group's fame grew. They discuss recording their legendary The Trinity Session in a uniquely organic way, and interpreting the songs of others in a few game-changing covers.
