Celeste Krishna: NY Slice Session 2026

Celeste Krishna brought warm, analog soul to her "NY Slice" session, performing two standout tracks from her latest album, The New Room.
She played “Living Rock Star” alongside “NYC & the South,” a reflective song shaped by her personal experiences navigating identity and place.
An Alabama-raised, Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter, and producer, Krishna blends a Laurel Canyon lyrical sensibility with Muscle Shoals grooves.
She was joined in the session by bassist Abe Pollack and drummer Michael Kane on drums and background vocals, rounding out their intimate, full-bodied sound.
Krishna also touched on her background — and love of Aretha Franklin — in her "NY Slice" pop quiz.
