Original new songs and some new sing-alongs populate today's "Cavalcade," at 4 p.m. with the latter set including an unearthed vintage Pixies cover of a Breeders song that they share (along with Kim Deal), and Sam Fender's stab at a Stones chestnut.
Entirely new to our ears are Alabama singer-songwriter Logan Bowden's intimate new release, Lakehouse, a set of DIY songs including the catchy "Goodbye Lucy."
Also, new goods from Chicago duo Whitney, Brit indies Palace, soothsayin' Jesse Welles, Guided By Voices and Heather Nova.
That's "Cavalcade," Sundays from 4-7 p.m., on 90.7FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
