Gogol Bordello is literally a moveable feast of music, cross cultural influences and infectious fun and today on "Cavalcade" at 4pm, a session with the band.

The boundless freedom and imagination of frontman Eugene Hütz has driven his patented "gypsy punk" for decades, and a recent Studio A visit to FUV pulled out all the stops.

It was Gogol's second live session for Cavalcade, and Eugene has also Zoomed in to chat and check in for timely moments during Covid and the war in Ukraine. Now, We Mean It, Man! Gogol's ninth and newest album, offers tracks like "Life is Possible Again," performed with gusto.

And on this first Sunday of June, "Cavalcade" welcomes the month with a "Golden Anniversary LP Crate Dig" into the album releases of exactly 50 years ago. In June 1976, treasures come from Peter Tosh, The Grateful Dead, Lou Rawls, soft-rock scribes Neil Diamond, James Taylor, and Rod Stewart, plus a little adventure with Alan Parsons and Jefferson Starship — all spinning at 33 1/3.

That's "Cavalcade," Sundays from 4-7 p.m., on 90.7FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
