Amble through Manhattan's downtown, east and west, with an opening "Cavalcade" of songs at 4 p.m. that are largely set in the East Village, including Brian Fallon's new "Pearls."

Also, marking the 50th anniversary of the Live At CBGB's double album recording, capturing early denizens of the iconic East Village dive on a week in early June 1976.

With summer just a week away, perennial downtowner Lenny Kaye joins with day-job boss Patti Smith on his new "Solstice," in a rare solo outing for the PSG guitarist.

Jam band masters try unusual covers, as Goose teams with harpist Mikaela Davis on Radiohead's "True Love Waits," and Warren Haynes unleashes a full string section for his symphonic "Shakedown Street."

A mildly macabre new Mountain Goats song, "Shallow Grave" spades down into a six-foot-under set of tunes, while bright new ones by Weezer and Afghan Whigs keep pace with the last Sunday of late spring.

"Cavalcade," Sundays from 4-7 p.m. on 90.7 FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
