Cavalcade for July 19

"Cavalcade" at 4 p.m. brings mid-July Sunday euphoria with breakout songs poised to pop out of car radios.
Bonafide summer hits by Alabama Shakes, Allison Russell, Role Model, Bleachers, and Beck stand tall as the ones you'll be whistling on the walk back to school in September (and whose books will you be carrying, hmm?).
Duets abound (I'll call them double-scoop cones). An unexpected sweet treat smooshes together New Radicals and Michelle Branch, rebooting her hit with Santana, "The Game of Love."
As always, there are at least 32 flavors of oldies, from a British Invasion gem by The Mindbenders to early edgy Ramones. I'll have Incredible Bongo Band's take on "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" (spoiler: there actually isn't a drum solo) and iconic actress Mia Farrow's one turn as a singer (spoiler, she hums a lot to an eerie wordless melody....also hmm?)
