"Sittin' on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon." Strains of Simon & Garfunkel kick off the first Sunday afternoon edition of "Cavalcade," now starting at 4 p.m.

The Lone Bellow is "Staring At The Sun" on their new one plus energetic new Gogol Bordello with Eugene Hütz and downtown punks Mary Shelley, one of a few bands on Hütz's Casa Gogol Records.

On the heels of Mardi Gras, Trombone Shorty joins Jill Scott on her latest, while Flea takes a turn on trumpet in his dreamy chamber-jazz vibe record Honora.

Businessman-turned-songwriter Pete Muller waxes introspective on a bracing new song, "Living with the Cold Too Long," and jazz and R&B singer Niia (Bertino) reheats Hoagy Carmichael's "I Get Along Without You Very Well."

So, plenty to fill your busy Sunday of scooting around with this and that, catching a little in the car here and there.

"Cavalcade," now Sundays 4-7 p.m. on 90.7FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
