"Cavalcade" revels in an evening slot one last time before next Sunday's new start time of 4 p.m.

A set of songs all dressed up for nighttime begin at 6 p.m. along with salutes to erstwhile FUV shows "Sunday Supper" and "The Alternate Side," which hung up their headphones as part of the station's revamped weekend schedule.

New songs come from Nashville husband-and-wife duo GoldCoast, The Black Keys, and Lucinda Williams.

Song reboots abound: Susan O' Neill and Valerie June give a timely take on "For What It's Worth." Brazil's Rogê tackles Talking Heads and Norah Jones and Josh Homme go lounge with a Frank and Nancy Sinatra nugget.  John Pizzarelli vibes Tony Bennett with his own cuff-linked panache.

Sunday evening stalwarts, "Cavalcade" also streams in the Archives, so catch the show at any time that works best for you. It's been a blast driving you home from long weekends on Sunday evenings, and I'm thrilled to bask in Sunday afternoon sunshine beginning at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, right after "Ceol na nGael" and right before "UKNY."
