"Cavalcade" hits the button on a midsummer refresh, welcoming the new month of August with a new kick-out-the-old tune by Molly Tuttle, "Old Me (New Wig)."
Also reflections on the wit of Tom Lehrer, elegant singer Cleo Laine, and healing thoughts for the beloved Dave Edmunds and Terry Reid.
At 8 p.m., the "Cavalcade" golden anniversary LP crate dig pulls vinyl gems out of storage from August 1975, in a rollicking survey that matches The Ohio Players, Donna Summer, Kool & The Gang, and The Spinners with Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, and Hall & Oates.
"Cavalcade," Sundays from 6-9 p.m., on 90.7FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast.
