"Cavalcade" welcomes actor and musician Michael C. Hall and his bandmates in Princess Goes for conversation and music from their new album Come of Age.

Featuring keyboards by Michael Katz-Bohen (Blondie, Cyndi Lauper) and drummer Peter Yanowitz (The Wallflowers, Morningwood) the band, formerly known as Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum, plays Music Hall of Williamsburg this coming Wednesday, August 7.

Along with backstory on the synthy, Bowie-inflected new songs, Michael talks about his own role in Lazarus (the song-cycle stage show that was David Bowie's very last creative project) and Hall recalls the grace and stature of the great man, along with the eerie grief-struck day that the cast album was recorded with news of Bowie's death hitting only hours before.

As the star of edgy TV shows like "Dexter" and "Six Feet Under," and on stage in Lazarus and  Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Michael has a lot to draw from in writing lyrics for Princess Goes's original songs that flesh out characters of his own creation.
