The solo debut from Brittany Howard, called Jaime, may be the album of 2019. It's bold, tender, freaky, and deep. It's also FUV's New Dig this week.

Just after the album's release earlier this autumn, I spoke with Howard at Rough Trade NYC in Brooklyn, to a room that was full of her fans. After our interview, we opened up the floor for questions, which included everything from an invitation to sing at a wedding to Howard's thoughts about Prince.

Hear the whole conversation on "The Whole Wide World" at 6 tonight (the interview will be in the 8 p.m. hour) on 90.7 WFUV, or on demand at any time via the player above.
