Last year, Scottish pop charmers Belle and Sebastian released their first album in seven years, A Bit of Previous. During those sessions, the band also worked on what will be a very fast follow-up record, Late Developers, released on Friday, January 13 (apparently a lucky day for Glaswegians) via Matador Records.

And Thursday night, January 12, is a lucky day for FUV listeners — we'll be previewing Late Developers, from beginning to end, ahead of its Friday release. Listen to this very special album preview at 9 p.m. EST on WFUV 90.7 FM, streaming online, with host Eric Holland.

Among the songs on the album is the first single, "I Don't Know What You See in Me," co-written with Pete Ferguson of fellow Glasgow band Wuh Oh — and the first time that Stuart Murdoch and bandmates have ever worked with an outside writer.

Belle and Sebastian will also be back in the States this spring with a show at White Eagle Hall on May 9. Want more? Listen back to their most recent FUV Live session in 2017 with host Kara Manning.
