Baio: 2015

Christopher Baio is probably best known as the bassist in Vampire Weekend. However, since 2012 he’s been making a name for himself in the electronic music scene under his surname, Baio.  In September, he releases his full-length solo debut, The Names. The album is nine tracks of what he considers "[David] Bowie and [Bryan] Ferry influenced pop songs and 'dumbsmart' arena techno."

 

Baio recently stopped by Studio A to talk with me about the new record and perform some of the new material.  We’ll hear that performance and conversation during this episode of FUV Live.
