Back and Better Than Ever: New York Rangers' Midseason Recap with Colin Loughran
As we sit just a few short weeks away from the NHL midway point and the All-Star Break, the New York Rangers are riding high atop the Metropolitan Division. Many pegged the Rangers to be competitive under new head coach Gerard Gallant, but few could have expected his early season optimism to have rung so true after an opening night loss and for the team to have this kind of success.
There have been growing pains, injuries and COVID-19 struggles along the way. However, much of that has faded behind young talent and solid goalkeeping that has developed into one of the NHL's best one two punches. And regardless of whatever challenges come up, the Rangers have met them all the same.
One of our Rangers' beat reporters, Colin Loughran, takes a look at the story of the season thus far, from the very beginning to their top spot in the Metro. Follow Colin on Twitter for live updates and keep up with WFUV Sports' social media channels for all of our Rangers' content.
