Are your band T-shirts a part of your pandemic work/weekend/constant wardrobe? In our new "Concert TBTee" series every Thursday, we're asking the FUV airstaff to dig through their drawers for the concert and band T-shirts that mean the most to them and why.

I have so many concert and band T-shirts, I could really just dress exclusively in them and WFUV gear. Here's proof!

But if I had to pick just one, I would say that my favorite is "my" long-sleeved Replacements T-shirt. I didn't get into them until after they had already broken up so I never thought I'd get the chance to see them. When they reunited and announced a show at Forest Hills Stadium for September 19, 2014, I was thrilled!

Obviously, I wasn't the only one excited for the show. This was one of the few concerts that almost everyone from WFUV attended. I also kept bumping into other people I knew walking around the stadium. Everyone in the audience seemed like a friend though, whether I knew them or not.

The show started with "Jet Song" from West Side Story, which I thought was so cool, and then the Replacements ripped into "Favorite Thing." The night was filled with sing-a-longs and lots of merriment. I was on cloud nine by the time the show was over and I left having forgotten to buy a T-shirt.

Years later, I went on a date with a guy who was wearing the shirt I neglected to buy. I said, "I was at the show!" and he said, "No kidding?! So was I!" It turns out we were even seated and rocking in the same section.

I ended up marrying that guy and now I've got the T-shirt! I was very pleased to meet him. And I think he was pleased to meet me too.

FUV has 10 digital download codes to share for the new deluxe edition of The Replacements’ Pleased To Meet Me, courtesy of Rhino Records, and you can enter for a chance to win one here. Listen to Eric Holland's "House of Wax" after 8 on Monday, October 26, to hear more from the collection.
