SXSW 08 Day 1, morning

Sunny and warm in Austin and thousands of music lovers, workers and artists about to descend upon this Texas town

Team FUV arrived last nite at 6p, Lou Reed was on our plane. At 7p we were sitting at the Van Morrison show at Austin Music Hall. BTW, the seats on the plane and the seats at Austin Music Hall were equally comfortable=NOT! But i’m not the complaining kind.

Van Morrison was great! Fronting a 10 piece band that rolled between big band, jazz, country effortlessly. He did a lot of new material and played sax and uke quite a bit! High point for me was a very Ray Charles version of I Can’t Stop Loving You.
