Andrea Polci first discovered WFUV in 2003 and became a member in 2012. Now she is making a rousing return to the radio station she loves and listens to every day. Andrea has lifted her involvement with the station to new heights by becoming the new Membership Manager.
Now living in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, but originally hailing from the great state of Connecticut, Andrea grew up in a musical household, led by her music-loving parents, where there was never a shortage of new music to be discovered. Andrea often “borrowed” from her older sister’s collection to further her music discovery.
Andrea has previously worked in alumni relations at both Brooklyn Law School and her alma mater, New York University, where she was responsible for building engagement with alums through creating newsletters, writing for the alumni magazine, and event planning. When asked what she was most proud of in her work, Andrea says, “In all of my previous positions, I’m proudest of the relationships I’ve built and the strong communities I’ve helped to create.”
As Membership Manager, Andrea is in constant direct contact with the members, working to expand and enhance the WFUV member community. She manages the membership database and is responsible for processing all gifts to the station. She also directs WFUV’s Marquee Member program.
Reading, attending live shows, enthusiastically supporting the New York Yankees and the New York Rangers, and Punk Rope are all among her favorite activities.
