The Whole Wide World For May 29: Back From Britain

Rita Houston had a blissful handful of days in Devon, England last week, exploring the towns of Totnes and Dartmouth as well as the countryside, happily fueled on tea, jet-lag, and the occasional pint.

Inspired by her time in that green and pleasant land (to paraphase the poet William Blake), tonight's edition of "The Whole Wide World" is entirely inspired by British artists. Rita has rounded up classics and new music from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including recent releases from Kate Tempest (pictured), Benjamin Clementine, Mumford & Sons and Disclosure, as well as more vintage fare from Paul Weller, Rod Stewart and, of course, Dusty Springfield.

Are you at WFUV's '80s Dance Party tonight? You can catch up to "The Whole Wide World" on demand in the FUV archives, available up to two weeks after broadcast.
