Stone Pony Summer Stage

FYI: It's the 40th anniversary of SummerStage and this year’s Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage Central Park hosts a summer of shows. Entry on a first-come, first-served basis for free shows.

FYI: Pete Seeger’s legacy continues at the second annual Hudson River Music Festival with multiple stages and family-friendly activities. Easy to reach by car and Metro-North.

Solid Sound Festival 


Where: MassMOCA 
When: June 26-28 
FYI: Wilco’s biannual Sound Sound festival is a guaranteed good time on the grounds of MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA. 

Artists include: Wilco, Wilco and Billy Bragg’s “Way Over Yonder In The Minor Key” performing songs from Mermaid Avenue, The Breeders, Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band, Gang of Four, Jeff Tweedy & Friends, Rich(ard) Dawson, Billy Bragg, S.G. Caramoor’s American Roots Music Festival  


Where: Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, Katonah, NY

FYI: The festival has performances in various locations around the gorgeous grounds. Caramoor is family friendly — bring a blanket and chairs for the day performances on the field.

FYI: Live music starts at 7:30pm on Thursday nights in July, back in Wagner Park after construction. A great lineup with the gorgeous backdrop of New York Harbor. Don’t forget a picnic!

FYI: Now in its fifth year, Lincoln Center’s “Summer for the City” has over 200 events for New Yorkers including concerts, dance performances, and events for children. Most events free or pay what you can.
