Wannabe Jalva - FUV Live - 2015

Hailing from Porto Alegre, Wannabe Jalva may not be exactly what you might expect from a Brazilian band.  Referring to their music as "space groove rock," the quartet just released an extremely impressive EP called Collecture.  The five songs are all so diverse and interesting, so I couldn't wait to hear and see them live.  When they came to Studio A for this session, the band proved to really tight.  After recently playing their first shows in the U.S. for CMJ, we talked about that experience, opening up for Pearl Jam at Lollapalooza Brazil, the differences between American and Brazilian fans and lots more.  This is most definitely a band to watch.
