Guitarist and vocalist Oliver Wood has expressed fondness for the phrase, “The hardening of categories creates art disease.” His band, The Wood Brothers, takes those words to heart, making music that’s difficult to define but easy to enjoy.

The trio, also featuring bassist/vocalist Chris Wood and drummer/keyboardist Jano Rix, was nominated for a Best Americana Album Grammy award for 2018’s One Drop of Truth. They recently built themselves a new studio in their adopted hometown of Nashville, and their new album, Kingdom In My Mind, captures the three artists enjoying the luxury of having their own place to record and experiment without being on the clock.

The freewheeling, live-to-tape sessions capture the sound of these outstanding players having fun and allowing the music in them to come out. Put your ears on what came out when The Wood Brothers dropped by our studios for this FUV Live session.
