The Tallest Man on Earth: 2015

Kristian Matsson a.k.a. The Tallest Man on Earth has made a career of writing personal songs with sparse but beautiful arrangements. On the new album, Dark Bird is Home, the sound is fuller and more expansive. Mattson was joined by a full band at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in NYC in an exclusive show for WFUV. The band treated the intimate crowd to a one-of-a-kind performance including a cover of “If I Could Only Fly” (written by Blaze Foley, made famous by Merle Haggard) and a stunning version of “Like a Wheel” which closed the show.
