Touring musicians have been left out of pandemic related relief efforts. Their return to touring has been halted with last minute cancellations and travel restrictions. Musicians like Esperanza Spalding are asking the New York State legislature to include 8 million dollars as part of the pandemic touring fund in the upcoming state budget. The Music Workers Alliance is calling on Governor Hochul to provide touring musicians with relief funds left over from the state's small business recovery program.
