South Memphis String Band - Words and Music - 2010

South Memphis String band formed in some free moments during a Jim Dickinson produced recording session between North Mississippi All Star Luther Dickinson, Squirrel Nut Zipper Jimbo Mathis, and Grammy-winning bluesman Alvin Youngblood Hart. The trio told WFUV's Darren Devivo that it was from those humble jam session origins that the band decided to record an album which drew on their Mississippi roots, 'Home Sweet Home.' (4/1/10)
