Son Little
You might know the voice of Aaron Livingston from his work with The Roots and RJD2, but this Philly-based artist has stepped out on his own as Son Little. At our FUV Live at CMJ showcase this fall he previewed songs from his six-song EP, Things I Forgot. On the standout track, "The River," blues riffs mix easily with beats and grooves, synths slide in without sacrificing any soul, and it all surrounds a laid-back but expressive voice with a story to tell.
