Shocking Blue for October 10
Tricky (photo by Steve Gullick, PR)
I’m going to see Tricky tomorrow night. I’m so excited to hear the songs from his latest album, Different When It’s Silent, performed live. Both Mitch Sanders and and Marta Zlakowska, who are on the album, will be performing live with Tricky here in New York.
I had the privilege of talking with Tricky back in July and if you missed the interview I’ll be replaying it toinght for those of you who may be attending Sunday night’s show and for everyone who is a fan.
Both John Lennon and PJ Harvey had birthdays yesterday so I’ll be toasting them and I have lots of new music to share with you from Lael Neale, Taraka, ridgeclub, Hermanos Gutiérrez, Soft Cell, Danielle Ponder, and White Fence.
Meet me at the spot, "Shocking Blue," Saturdays 8-11 p,m., on 90.7FM or streaming online at WFUV.org. and in the Archives after broadcast.
