It was 20 years ago that Shawn Colvin released A Few Small Repairs. I remember it well! We played the heck out of it at WFUV and it became a breakthrough for Shawn, which led to airplay on mainstream radio and Grammy awards too. It was her fourth album and brought John Leventhal back into the creative process of writing and producing.
Now A Few Small Repairs has been reissued for its 20th anniversary, and for this FUV Live session, Shawn and John performed in Studio A and joined me for a conversation. It's a special treat to have these two together, talking about making the album back in the day and still making music in the here and now.
