Riley Etheridge, Jr. was raised in South Carolina and spent 20 years in Baton Rouge, LA, before settling in NYC a few years ago. His latest album, Secrets, Hope & Waiting, is an intimate song cycle about an aging beauty queen told from several points of view, recorded in a converted church in New Orleans. One of the songs, "Everything You Wanted," is a classic kiss-off.
