Question of the Day: Why not Bob?

Question of the Day: Why not Bob?
They say politics makes strange bedfellows. At very least, it was a strange line up on stage last night as Bob Dylan received the Presidential Medal of Freedom (among a few other notables.)
Historically, very few of the medal's recipients have made their names in folk music - none in rock. So what makes Dylan eligible in your book? Is anybody else more deserving? Make your case with a song (and tell us your first name and hometown, por favor?
Here's today's Question of the Day playlist:
1. "Song to Woody" - Bob Dylan, Bob Dylan
2. "This Land is Your Land" - Pete Seeger, American Favorite Ballads
3. "Chimes of Freedom" - Bruce Springsteen, Chimes of Freedom (Live) EP
4. "The Times They Are A-Chaning" - Bob Dylan, The Times They Are A-Changing
