Question of the Day: One That Got Away?
When we think of all the amazing performers we've missed for some lame reason, well, it just plain hurts. That's to say nothing of the ones we were just too young to see (Hendrix, Sinatra, et al). So on the anniversary of the King's final show, we make a short list: Wanted Dead or Alive: the concerts we WISH we had seen. James Brown at the Apollo? Beatles at Shea? Allmans at the Fillmore? Or even Bonnie Raitt last week at the Beacon?
A Heart in New York - Simon and Garfunkel, The Concert in Central Park
Rag Mama Rag - Levon Helm, Ramble At The Ryman
Live With Me - Rolling Stones, Get Yer Ya Yas Out
Whatever Gets You Through the Night - John Lennon, Walls and Bridges
