50 years ago Otis Redding's "(Sittin' on) the Dock of the Bay" became the first posthumous release to reach #1 on the U.S. singles chart. There's a tribute show to mark the occasion tonight at the Apollo Theater. What other posthumous releases would you like to hear? We'll spin a set after 9am.

Thanks to Gregg from Upper Montclair for prompting this Question of the Day.

Here's what we played:

Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings "Matter of Time"

Roy Orbison "You Got It"

Janis Joplin "Me and Bobby McGee"

Jeff Buckley "Everybody Here Wants You"

Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros "Coma Girl"
