One on One: Kevin Gallagher and Pat Geoghegan's plan to save the game of baseball
There is no question that baseball is no longer the "America's Game" that it once was. Attendance numbers are down, less young athletes are playing the sport and interest is declining each year. Two former ballplayers with a devout passion for the game, Kevin Gallagher and Pat Geoghegan, fear that reality may only be becoming worse.
Kevin and Pat sit down with Andrew Gullotta and Thomas Aiello to discuss their new initiative called "Save the Game," a grassroots effort to return to baseball's fundamentals, cultivate youth interest and collect 1 million digital signatures to prove to Major League Baseball that its game must change. Kevin and Pat share the inspiration and goals behind this project along with how they hope to work in lockstep with the MLB to preserve the sport's future in America.
