NYC Marathon Runners Plan To "Tweet" During Race
A number of runners plan to continue updating their twitter accounts while running this Sunday.
A lot of runners have been tracking their training schedules and progress in preparation for the New York City marathon on the social networking site Twitter.
And some runners plan to continue "tweeting" on raceday this Sunday. Sean Haubert, social media manager for the New York Road Runners, said he discourages tweeting while running.
"You've trained all year to run this marathon, and the last thing you want to do is hurt yourself because you're focusing on something else and not the race in front of you." The New York Road Runners Club, organizers of the New York City Marathon, will be tweeting throughout the race, but they'll be doing it from the sidelines.
