NPR's Tiny Desk Contest 2022
Since 2008, NPR Music has welcomed beloved musicians from across genres to perform behind the desk of Bob Boilen, host of All Songs Considered and creator of the Tiny Desk concert series.
In 2014, they launched the Tiny Desk Contest: a nationwide search to find the next great undiscovered musician to come play a Tiny Desk concert. Previous winners have gone on to sign to major labels, perform across the world and even win Grammy awards.
No matter what kind of music you make, they want to hear it.
Got a big dream of playing the Tiny Desk? Unsigned musicians — send in a video of you playing one song behind a desk of your choosing. See if you're eligible!
Entries open on Tuesday, February 8 at 10 a.m. Deadline to post your video to YouTube and send in the link is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 14.
This year's judges: Bob Boilen (NPR Music), Bobby Carter (NPR Music); Tiny Desk alums Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast, iLe, Big K.R.I.T., and Nate Chinen (WGBO).
Keep these things in mind:
- This is for undiscovered talent; you can't have a current recording contract.
- You must be at least 18 years old and live in the U.S. to enter.
- A panel of judges will choose the winner.
- NPR Music welcomes music from all genres, and entrants from previous years are encouraged to submit again with new material.
