Catherine Miles, Karyn Oliver, and Carolann Solebello are three of the New York folk scene's favorite female singer-songwriters - Catherine as a member of the Ya Yas (with her husband Jay Mafale), Karyn as a recent arrival from Baltimore, and Carolann as a member of Red Molly. As regulars in the sisterhood/support group known as Chicks With Dip, they all contributed to Joni Mitchell's Blue: A 40th Anniversary Tribute Album and found themselves collaborating in live performances.

Their musical and personal chemistry led to their forming a group they called No Fuss and Feathers. Aided and abetted by Mafale as guitarist and producer, they recorded an album, Traveling Circus, which showcases their songs and harmonies.
